DEA agents said the meth was considered to be 97%-100% pure, with a wholesale value of $600,000. Once the meth is cut, DEA agents said the street value would have gone up to $18 million.
The Dea says the drugs were intercepted at homes in Salt Lake County, and was most likely manufactured in labs in Mexico, specifically suspected to belong to a Sinaloa drug cartel.The drugs were transported in tubular bags hidden in the upholstery in vehicle ceilings.
